How to learn to do something:
1- Find a video on youtube with someone doing the thing for the first time;
2- Watch him doing all the wrong things (even if he is following structions);
3- Learn that even if he did all wrong, it can be fix and it still works;
4- Find someone doing the thing like it's his hundred time, doing all right;
5- Try it your self, doing all you can to make like the second guy, knowing that it will work, even if you make like the first.

It's always, all about confiance. =D
Thanks for the great work!

Dude, dive down the rabbit hole of Retropie with a front end of Attract Mode. I built 4 full size, fully functional arcades all powered by Raspberry pi. Magic Mirror is a cool Project too.

Hi, can I run plex media server on raspberry pie?

Advice, Run the screws from the bottom with nuts on top. You will be taking the top off if you want to hook up a camera or TFT monitor.. I have the exact same case.

MQTT server can run a RasPI...then used as a smart hub. Check out MK Smart House on YouTube. Breaks it all down.

Dude I just wanted to know do you have any kids? If so God help them LOL! I only say this because this came with a manual, and kids don't.

Made me feel better watching you struggle a little. I might have given up and said "forget it" otherwise.

Future Pi project - Hass.io with Home Assistant + Node Red. Sky is the limit with what you can use for smart products. Slight learning curve but nothing crazy! Well worth it.

Try Rasplex. Works great for me. And controlling over CEC is awesome!

you should get either a POE shield or a POE splitter from some projects

Hi, what's now your technical point? Do you still run Zeus? Do you still have all the gorgeous switches?

Use MicroSD. You can download either the official Plex Embedded image or OpenPHT (old style UX) for it. It's ridiculously easy to do as you just need something like Etcher to transfer the files to SD. I'd recommend the SD Card Formatter app too.

For the Pi you can always try to enable IR via GPIO but I've always just bought a bunch of Flirc's. They're not as cheap but they're insanely easy to setup.

You might also enjoy playing with Retropie on it at some point. It runs really well on a Pi 3. You just won't be able to emulate anything faster than a PS One on it. Something like an Odroid XU 4 can get you some compatibility with N64, Dreamcast, and other systems. That said for that I'd probably skip it and just get a DE 10 Nano board and run MISTer. It's likely one of my future tinkering projects myself.

You can try Grafana, great UI for displaying info on TV/Monitor. And depending on your network configuration (like UniFi) you might be able to display a dashboard for your network status.

This will be my next year project, using the RPi3+ as UniFi Cloud controller + Grafana dashboard.
