Tesla Gigafactory Texas 20 August 2021 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (07:45AM)
Показать описание
Gigafactory Texas on 20 August 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
Incredibly busy day and progress everywhere you looked! It’s almost like Giga Texas wanted to make sure everyone knew they were working just as hard as the Tesla AI team and all the amazing and exciting progress they discussed at AI last night! In addition to Full Self Driving, DOJO computers and the Tesla Robot, we also learned something new about the Cybertruck … it will have the 2nd version of FDS and Hardware 4 installed when it is produced, making it the first Tesla with these upgrades!
The main factory building is really beginning to look like it will when completed, with supporting infrastructure like roads, parking, utilities, charging infrastructure and more coming along quickly in addition to all the work going on inside to prepare for production start in a few more months!
So much was going on I couldn’t capture everything, but I did try! I hope you find this video and the supporting information helpful!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- Plenty of work on the west side of the General Assembly structure, including more angular wall panels … the final window design is becoming very clear now! Some loading docks on the west side appear to be completed and operational now, while the paved paring and driving areas now extend completely to the south end.
- The battery cell structure roofing insulation and weatherproofing material installation is now about 85% completed, and we see on the north face, more triangular wall panel and window openings being installed. Exterior wall panel installation is now about 80% completed, while more and more interior walls are going up, along with more equipment, fixtures, utilities and more on the inside!
- The Body-in-White east side is also getting wall panels installed where the temporary loading platform was located, finishing off this side are of the structure.
- The Stamping machine structure has had two large sections of wall panels removed on the west side adjacent to the central area ... probably in preparation for some construction to joing the structures internally in this location. Since the wall panels were removed, we take the opportunity and look inside to see one of the stamping machine assemblies looking nearly complete and operational.
- The central area pit continues growing to the south, now appearing to nearly reach the south end. Crews continue to drill deep cementitious pilings which will support large column footings. These appear to be in a clear alignment with the steel structure columns just to the north. In addition, the steel structure is also getting more roof & floor decking installed.
- The casting machine area roof got another cement section poured, the casting machine foundation now has the mounting frame installed, and a large slab area has been poured and crosscut now. We also see a very large amount of Model Y front and rear castings in the NE area as well.
- There is road work in many places around the site and across the highway and some activity on the south end of the foundation over there as well.
- We see utilities trenching all over and conduit installation as well. Truly so much going on, I couldn't capture it all!
