The correct sound of the GENERAL LEE horn

I’ve seen many video’s, and heard many horns that just don’t sound correct! This is my GENERAL with the correct Dixie horn which was installed in my car back in 1981 when the show was on tv! I loved the show, and car so much, when I was a kid watching the show in the 80’s I taught myself how to make the GENERAL LEE horn sound with my voice. People thought it was the real horn and got a kick out of it, well as you can imagine with age your voice changes, so I’m no longer able to do it with my voice, but now I own my dream car which has the horn! They didn't have the horn when they started guy drove by in a pickup blew the horn and I think the director had a crew member chase him down and bought the horn

I made the closest General Lee replica I could in GTA, and it's so much fun i got the horn and everything, only things that's missing is the 01. I just drive around jumping hills, doing stunts and when I kill someone, I honk the horn after

JC Whitney had the correct one, and I bought it and put it in my grand marquis when I was in high school. Everyone who knew the Dukes loved it.

This is my truth, I actually got to take a ride in the general lee as a kid. They were filming out in Piru, Ca and one of the workers on the set gave me and my friend a small joy ride. It was so random, you know that “don’t get in strangers cars” thing we’ve been taught. Well about that, we didn’t even hesitate we just got in.

There was a guy at a car show with a replica and he hit his horn so much it killed the battery and someone had to jump him

I have the same horn with the same tune in my ‘80 F-150. Playing it always brings a smile to my face.

On our trip to rapid city, South Dakota, we got to see one of the only surviving general lee cars at the pioneer auto museum. The guy let us honk the horn, it was beautiful.

I honestly wish I could have a beauty like this.. She's my dream car. Well, the 69 charger is, not necessarily the ole general. I'm sure you'll never sell yours, but I've seen some online, not sure how real any of them are though. You're a lucky man ole son.

Went to a World of Wheels back in the late 80s. The General Lee along with Knight Ridee were there. 2 high school kids jumped in the driver door then out the passenger door. To the great surprise of the WHOLE show the horns worked as advertised. People cheered big time as the kids hit the back door like Bo Duke.
