"you'll die with a hole in your heart, isn't that what you wanted?"

Gin is the Itachi of bleach, everyone thought he was bad/evil. But he was undercover good the whole time.

Aizen: what are you doing Gin?
Gin: I am doing what is called a pro gamer move

Funny how Aizen told Shinji “Whats more frightening is a betrayal you never see coming” and then a century later got surprised by one he had already seen coming.

For everyone that doesn't know, touching Aizen's sword is one way to deactivate the hypnosis effects. He did it so subtly.

i love how aizen already knew something like this would happen but when it actually did he was like “oh shit he actually did it”

What I hated about this is that it didn't stop Aizen at all. If it couldn't kill him then at the very least it should've weakened him or handicapped him in some way. But Gin dies for free after spending 200+ years following Aizen.

Aizen thought he was so cool playing 4d chess on everyone, not knowing Gin was playing 5d chess

Definitely would have been an interesting plot twist if Gin's attempt to kill Aizen actually succeeded. I kind of thought that win should have went to Gin, given that he willingly acted like the villain, for the better of Soul Society, and countless others.

I've always wondered since Gin always has his eyes closed does he really get effected by Kyoka Suigetsu lol.

I would have given anything for Gin not to die. It broke my heart in a thousand pieces.

Aizen said it himself that a battle between shinigami's is a battle of reiatsu. Hence why soi fon's Suzumebachi couldn't kill Aizen, he merely stop the ability with his reiatsu. The fact that Gin was able to deal to what it should've been a killing blow to a being who's in a higher plane of existence is a testament on how powerful Gin is.

I definitely feel the series should have ended here honestly, Aizen lost, period.

I love how Aizen curses Gin and then you can see the genuine fear in his eyes. He actually feared Gin there for a moment and he was afraid like a dog, this is something even the most powerful characters failed to achieve against Aizen. It's even more impressive when you think about how he knew this betrayal was coming. Despite that, Gin still managed to achieve complete surprise. These two were playing chess on a level of their own from the very start. I believe this is the one redeeming fact about Gin's death. Ichimaru Gin, forever a hero.

I think this is brilliant end for Gin. Heroes not always succeeds, in spite of whatever efforts they might exert. There is always underlying story of millions that have failed.

“You’ll die with a hole in your heart, just like you wanted” I never thought of that line that deep until I thought of the fact Aizen wanted to have the powers of a hollow and therefore he’d have a hollow hole...

What Gin did was honestly the most logical, calm, calculated and badass plan one could possibly come up with to take down a monstrosity like Aizen.

He came closer to ending Aizen singlehandedly than anyone ever did apart from Dangai Ichigo.

I'm not ashamed to admit it - Gin got me good. I never suspected him being Aizen's worst enemy all this time. I wouldn't wanna be in Aizen's place with enemies like Gin trying to take him down.

The most interesting was that they both knew about betrayal from starting...Despite that aizen kept gin closer than anyone and gin kept following aizen for centuries...They both was waiting for this epic moment...

I remember when I first saw this how many goosebumps I got. The fact that Gin was just waiting his whole life undercover for the perfect moment to kill him is unreal. So mad Aizen didn't end here...
