Can I just say you are an amazing inspiration I started guitar just because of you and I have been to the mathematics tour in Scotland in Glasgow I loved every bit I’m an all timer fan and I belted out all the lyrics to all the songs and you shouted to a kid that you need to party like that kid did and ever since then I haven’t stopped learning and playing guitar
All because of you
Thank you Ed
For being who you are 🙃

Dear Ed: I am probably one of your most senior fans. Lol
You continue to be such an inspiration and source of great comfort to me in more ways than you can imagine. I lost my daughter Suzanne in 1996 unexpectedly in a car accident. She was beautiful, inside and out, always smiling and kind to everyone. If she could have been able to have a little boy, it warms my heart at the thought that he would be just like you.
I haven't yet had the opportunity to attend one of your performances but it is a dream of mine. I make up for it by watching everything about you on YouTube, etc.
I've also watched interviews with you over the years. In one interview from your home, you explained how you had the need to unplug and then thought back to what brought you happiness as a child. You bought 30 canvases and painted one a day. I have loved all your interviews because your heart is genuine and I have appreciated the wisdom within someone so young, however, this particular interview truly inspired me. You said that often times, people think that they have to accomplish a certain goal before they can be happy. Then they keep postponing their happiness by adding another goal and yet another. You then said that instead, people should simply do a little something every day that makes them feel truly happy. Well dear, I took your advice and thought back to when I was a child and a teen. I use to love to sketch, paint, write stories and poetry. I also loved music at an early age. Later, when my daughter was born, I wrote my first song. It was her lullaby. I wrote many songs over the years but I never told or shared with anyone except my daughter. She loved them which made us both happy. Over the years, I kept the scribbles of my songs in a box. It wasn't until you inspired me with your words of hope, that I dug out the box and began to type and record them on an old Windows 7 laptop. Lol
I didn't even have a mic. What's also incredible is that I have yet to master an instrument but I can hear the melody and instruments in my head. (Just for the record, Ed, no I do not hear voices and am not delusional. I suppose that I'm just a bit weird. Then again, I was very comforted when you said in an interview, you were a weird kid but discovered that weird kids often grow up to be the most interesting people. Lol
My simple little project of happiness grew and before I knew it, I was making an album as a tribute to my daughter as well as songwriting and drawing again. I've been wanting to find a way to tell you that I can never thank you enough for the joy you have helped bring back into my life. I am continuing my daughter's legacy of "kindness towards all, big and small." I wish I could give you a big hug, but the best I can do instead is to tell you that I would be honored if you would listen to my album and know that it was created with a great amount of love. The album is called "Eclectic, Angelic And Sweetly Eccentric." My artist name is GG Birdsall. I also released a single recently called "Miracles" which I hope you will also enjoy. 🥰🎶🎶🎶
Ps. I love a very wide variety of music.

I heard his songs when I was 18 - and he made me to write songs and now here’s me writing my own songs and playing it live for few people… again now I’m 22 and he still inspires me to write and perform. Hats off … I hope one day I will perform with u . It’s a note I’m leaving here so each time someone likes this comment, I will get the reminder that one day I will have a collab with him 🥂✨- waiting for u ed 💪 I’m gonna be there soon

This is the first song I heard from Ed and still my most favorite song.
It was on one of the small stage show, it just him with his small guitar. It hooked me since then.
