It’s so funny to me that corporations will always shut down these pirate websites but never try to make an actual good streaming service that’s competent and has most anime on it. I would gladly pay for a streaming platform that actually has most anime with good overall service quality. But as it is right now, I’m never willing to pay a cent, not for the garbage we have such as crunchyroll and others. I shouldn’t have to pay for 5 different monthly subscriptions just because each anime is exclusive to another platform. It’s sad because I know the animators behind most anime are overworked with bad wages, and would love to support them, but I know for a fact that even when legal anime websites are used, these animators still barely get their fair wage. Big corporations are always the benefactors in these situations.

they don't seem to realize why people go on these sites beyond free, it's because everything is on one site...we dont have to subscribe to 4-6 different streaming services to get just 30% of what these anime sites have, beyond that these site have older animes that are not on and will never be on any of these streaming sites.. honestly if they had a paid legal site that had every single anime that has ever come out on and with loyal translations i'd be willing to pay $20-25 a month for it.. these anime sites are just miles better than any streaming service out there... they are also preserving older anime that will be lost if completely wiped out

im not really worried since anime sites are like a hydra, you cut one down and 2 more will pop up... they are fighting a losing battle...

Its just starting for sure they hunting more but mostly they want to catch the big fish in the ocean of piracy but like old saying Legends Never Die they just multiple.

From what I've heard through their discord not even the workers/admins of the website knew about the shutdown. They're trying to work things out with the owner. But I personally propose they branch off another website to start anew considering their relationship with the owner is close to non-existent.

I wish they could find a compromise. They are fighting the wrong side. The Anime community has grown far more in the last give or take 9 years thanks to those sites. We buy Merch, attend various conventions, they could think of it as free advertising.
Otherwise we will find a way to make Aniwave like Pain in Naruto, 6 versions of 1(background music playing).
