I miss the days when Disney would go the extra mile for their movies.

And most of all I miss the Black Pearl. Most beautiful ship.

They made the pearl 45 mins from my house... It was a big deal when they sent it out.. people showed up to see it off

The ships was built in my home town of bayou la batre in mobile Alabama right across the road from my house I got to actually go on them when they where finished being made as a kid who was obsessed with pirates and wood ships it was like a dream come true

They literally made so much details and bonus features for the DVD of the film that they had to make a movie menu map for both discs so it was more user friendly.

all this does is scare me knowing that the flying dutchmen is real

my coworker told me he tracked the black pearl while in a submarine, he actually did lol

And unfortunately, the Black Pearl was built into the Queen Anne’s Revenge for POTC4, and then dismantled and burned

When they came to Dominica to film, they were staying at my family's hotel and the black pearl was docked right near the beach, I swam up to it, they let us on there. Their cabins below were filled with snacks stacked on a pallet, they were super cool☺️☺️☺️

Also the Black Pearl's hull was used for Black Beard's ship (Queen Anne's Revenge) in the 4th movie

The sight of the Black Pearl sitting on the San Pedro Harbor, was the coolest thing to see!!

Imagine your a real Pirate, and have a crew and steal the working black pearl to go a container ship and the container ship crew is like: MAN YOUR STATIONS, PIRATES ON OUR TAIL, Sir... It's the Black Pearl...
