If you look back at my videos covering a potential future recession, you'll notice that I really wasn't too concerned in the short term. Well, this next set of tariffs to be announced in early April, might change all of that.

I really dislike the direction of both parties so I’m trying to be impartial here…. But if Biden and the dems were doing this the republicans would be going absolutely mental. A simple bias test should be: if the other party was implementing the same policy, would you still be for it? I’m truly amazed in 2025 people can’t realize this.

The tarriff plan will evidently lead to high inflation, the high inflation is a significant reason why most retirees have sleepless nights. The increase in prices of everyday items puts them at risk of running out of money. As prices rise, the amount of money retirees can withdraw from their retirement savings also increases.

Peter Navarro was on Fox News today stating that "tariffs are a tax cut". MAGA supporters are fist bumping each other going 'YEAH! TARIFFS ARE TAX CUTS!!'.
There is no way you can possibly fix this level of stupid.

It's almost like the ability of changing tarifs on a whim would be great for insider trading ...

*The problem we have is because Most people always taught that"* you only need a good job to become rich". These billionaires are operating on a whole other playbook that many don't even know exists.

One of the worst consequences of this current situation is the U.S. has lost the trust and confidence of global markets while simultaneously fueling a very successful grassroots boycott of American products and services. The USA has basically set fire to the policies that made them rich. CANZUK and the EU will likely hel fill this vacuum to some extent.

No worries. You've got a very stable genius at the helm. There's never been a genius like him. The most stable genius anyone's ever seen.

Regarding agriculture the US imports 90% of its potash. 80% is imported from Canada. Potash is vital for plant growth and global food security, playing a crucial role in enhancing crop yields, improving quality, and supporting healthy diets.

If things really start tanking, watch out for a nasty, dangerous war with Iran.

It’s not just the Tarrifs. it’s wider geopolitical events that are eroding trust with other countries. These go deeper.

I've never heard Peter raise his voice nor have I heard him sound even close to worried, but today that changed

Peter Zeihan really has that rare talent for breaking down complex geopolitical topics into clear, sharp insights. The fact he manages to keep the camera perfectly steady while delivering such compelling analyses is truly impressive, too! It seems he's mastered both geopolitics and cinematography at the same time! 😉

Many good points. Other nations pray for the U.S. to stay strong not prey on it e.g. Canada U.K. and Australia. We are puzzled why we are being punished as long-term allies while dangers such as Russia are being spoken well off.

The economy is struggling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and the lingering effects of the tariffs, leading to instability. Rising inflation, slow growth, and trade disruptions require immediate action from all sectors to restore stability and promote growth.

This should be the greenest administration in history. Collapsing global trade and the North American economy should be able to easily meet climate targets.

The USA has 4 aluminum smelters. Why so few? Aluminum requires high levels of electricity and Canada, has 10 smelters due to the availability of hydro electricity at much cheaper rates than in the USA. As a result Canada supplies 60% of the aluminum the USA consumes……who operates that aluminum industry? Alcoa and Rio Tinto. The Canadian industry was set up in WW2 and supplied 40% of the aluminum used by the Allies in WW2.
This is crazy…..get ready for higher costs on everything from a Boeing jet to an f150 and a can of coke.
The aluminum created in Canada is easily shipped all over the world and the industry is pivoting to sending it to other places forcing the USA to buy higher prices which will trickle down to the consumer…..

Why isn’t anyone discussing the possibility that he might intentionally be attempting to wreck our economy?

Tit for tat economics, here we go. You impose tariffs, we impose tariffs. Market chaos but a great time to be a speculator with insider information. Welcome to the Oligarchy.

Peter,
As always, I value and appreciate your insights. Something for your consideration: I work in the aerospace industry in a U.S. based company that shares workflow in both Canada and Mexico. From what we have seen the aerospace industry has the same exemptions from this round of tariffs as in the past and is largely not affected.
