Meet Sudha Murty!

In 1974, Sudha Murty was a lone trailblazer, pursuing her MTech at the Tata Institute, as the only female in her class! Her journey took an unexpected turn when she came across a discriminatory job notice from TELCO, Pune, explicitly stating that women need not apply. At the age of twenty-three, armed with a postcard and determination, she penned a letter to the legendary JRD Tata, expressing her frustration at the unjust policy. Despite not knowing his exact address, she addressed the letter to JRD Tata and sent it to his office. Little did she know that this simple act would lead to a groundbreaking change. JRD Tata, upon receiving Sudha Murty's heartfelt letter, took swift action. The discriminatory policy was revoked, and she herself went on to work with the company, proving that one person's voice can indeed make a difference. Sudha Murty’s journey inspires us to speak up against injustice and create a world where everyone has equal opportunities.
