Hi! I'm the Dean of the Library at a medium size university. (side note--I've lost quite a bit of weight over the past 6 months and this channel has been INVALUABLE with revamping my work style for my new body!). My uniform is slacks or jeans, a top, and a blazer for meetings. I usually do a neutral top and more vibrant blazer or vice versa. I'm a sucker for fun necklaces--kicks up an outfit without requiring too much thought.

This summer I've been wearing a lot of navy and white as my neutrals, with bold pinks and lighter blues for color. I also invested in a few linen jackets this summer as part of my larger wardrobe refresh, and I LOVE them. Today is a no-meeting day and summers in higher ed are a bit more dressed down, so I'm in grey loafers and slacks, a white tee, and a pink, green and blue tropical-ish print button up layered on top and tied around the waist. Finished the look with one of those multi-strand paper clip necklaces in silver. If I'd had a meeting today I would have ditched the button-up and gone for one of the more colorful linen blazers, either a hot pink or aqua.

High school teacher here. The more casual the other admin/teachers get the more I step it up. Sure, you can teach in anything, but the students pay attention… They don’t even realize they are treating me with more respect than the teachers in jeans, but they do. (Works on co-workers/admin too!)
Tip for wearing white pants: I usually pair them with a long beige cardigan that I can take off and on. Great layer when the AC gets too much and covers the spots that might get dirty!
