As a kid growing up in the 70's the big mystery was, " what do the members of KISS look like?". Even at 12, 13, 14 years old something always bothered me about this big secret, The guys in KISS told everyone what their real names were before they joined KISS, they even told us the names of other bands they had played in before forming KISS, so why didn't someone leak a photo of them? I remember all the teen mags having pics of them with their faces half covered up, LOL, one time I took two photos of Paul Stanley, one was from his nose up and the other was from his nose down. I cut out each picture and then taped them together, but, in neither photo did he show the tip and nostrils of his nose so my picture was not very accurate lol. But think about it, kids who went to school with them could have showed the media their yearbook photos or people who saw their previous bands could have showed fliers right? But the big reason why none of this happened and the biggest way they were able to pull this off for 10 years was simply this - respect from the media. I guarantee you people did contact the media with photos of the four members of KISS without makeup and I guarantee you that certain photographers even got pics of them, but NO magazine or TV show would show us those pictures so that KISS could maintain their mystery. Even magazines like the National Enquirer were in on it and that says a lot for a rag like that to even agree to not show such pictures!! But in today's world the media has no respect for such things and will run every picture they can get if it means a few more subscribers or viewers. I am NOT dissing on Loudwire for this video even though it might sound like I am. The guys in Slipknot are really not that concerned with keeping their identity hidden as much as KISS was. As it has been suggested already, if this guy was so hell bent to remain anonymous, he would have wore gloves, like fingerless ones, to cover up that tat, but he didn't because it's part of the game, "hey folks, here is a clue, anyone know this guy?". Lol.
