These are the locomotives of the Cass scenic railroad. Mighty as they whine to the top of Bald Knob and beyond. What once was a logging operation, now hauls tourists up and down Cheat Mountain from summer to fall. But during one weekend in the off months, the railroad hosts its annual heritage weekend.

I still can't believe they managed to rebuild the line all the way to Durbin! No one in 1986 would have thought that it would be possible to do such a thing!

My son really loves trains 🚆🚃🚄🚅🚇🚈🚉🚊🚝🚞🚋🛤 especially steam locomotives 🚂 like shays like me and is glad the Chesapeake & Ohio Greenbrier line between Cass and Durbin has been rebuilt and hopes the entire line is rebuilt as well as the Western Maryland railroad lines in West Virginia like the one through Blackwater Canyon but he doesn't want that to be wishful thinking he wants it to be a reality!
