Soy de la generación del 2000´ pero por mi madre que es de la generación de 1966´ me encanta esta musica y la disfruto.

This is an old carnival Haitian song in 1975. The name of the Group was Les Difficiles de Petion ville or in English The Difficult from Petion Ville. They were one on the best Haitian Compas band in Haiti at that time with their though competitor " The Gipsy of Petion Ville". We can appreciate the talent of these musicians at that time who play real instruments and not just programing music on a key board and rap on it, like today. Compas is the most popular music style of Haiti. This music is fast, because it is a carnival song. Carnival Haitian song always fast, because they want the public, the fans to be in euphoria . But normal compas Haitian music is not that fast. Today Haitian compas much more different, even Haitian carnival, lot of renovation due to technology. Haiti is rich in culture, especially for its music. There are several types of rhythm in Haitian music, like Haitian rap, racin music which is a style of voudou music transformed in modern rhythm mixed with technology song, also engaged music or type of patriotic or revolutionary songs and Haitian compas ( which is the most popular and traditional music). Haitian music is specific to Haitians, the zouk music copied Haitian compas. Haitian music is not bachata, not salsa, not meringue, not African music, but it is just Haitian music invented by their musician ancestors " Robert Cico" and " Nemour Jean Baptist" ( long time ago).
