Tim Cook is a very principled CEO. He acknowledges his duty to shareholders but strongly pushes for the right thing in many matters, which is rare nowadays. Apple would be much 'richer' by using less sustainable parts that cheapens the experience as others do, but many people don't see those things that make Apple totally unique as a giant company.

I don't care about my data being sold to the extent that it is sold. I only care about not being paid for MY data being sold. It's theft without compensation.
