Woodturning - Live Edge Walnut Bowl

In this woodworking video, I used a woodturning lathe to turn a large American black walnut log into a natural live edge bowl. A natural edge bowl is one where the rim of the bowl utilises the wood in its natural state and flowing with the natural surface characteristics of the log, and typically will have two high points and two low. Coated the bark with sanding sealer and CA glue to help stabilise the bark and for finish used Danish oil … 😊

Nice shape. Did you secure the bark with CA glue or was the log harvested in the winter? How severe were the pith cracks? Did you pre-seal prior to any CA?
