--------
In this clip, Robert Kiyosaki recalled launching a t-shirt company which licensed logos from some of the most popular heavy metal bands in the 1980s. He then discussed growing tired of the company and pivoted to teaching entrepreneurship in Hawaii for free. Robert said it was during that time teaching in Hawaii that he began developing the idea for “Rich Dad, Poor Dad.”

"Most people fail at life because they are afraid of failure" - Robert Kiyosaki 🎯

Having a 401k and investing in the stock market are solid ways to go. (Vlad has talked about how he did well in stocks.) Kiyosaki knows his stuff for sure, but don't neglect good wealth-building options just because he doesn't use them. Read his stuff and use his knowledge but find your own way. Do your reading and consult with professionals.

He was teaching about wealth creation and that turned into probably one of the best selling books of all time, but at the start of his teaching he did not seem to be super wealthy himself. ALL of the knowledge he had gathered from life experiences turned into financial wealth by teaching the information he learned by simply observing others. A lot of times wealth is right in front of us and we look all over the place and miss out .

I guess this is a good a place as any for me to say I think Kiyasaki is a great man. I remember he was promoting himself way back in the 90's. I never paid too much attention to him because I sort of thought he was just another real estate guru. But now I listen to him and I realize that this guy has been around along time. New generation s of young entrepreneurs are saying the things and ideals that he basically originated. Staying power. Not many people have that! Also always learning more about him. I mean he's a freaking former helicopter machine gun soldier from the Vietnam war. He's not afraid to say what he thinks. He's a bad ass! And now we learn that he knew Pink Floyd? Who knew that?

It's only after Oprah reviewed his book on her show that he became rich. At the time that he wrote the book he's never been wealthy, so yeah as he says, the book is just about not being afraid of making mistakes and changing your mindset.

Basically he sold information that was already out there, then used the money to do everything he sold in his books. Got it.

Rich dad poor dad branding was brilliant. His books are simple. What I have learned is that information is only power when applied. So many ways and resourceful info out here to get rich fast or slow but people are people and in order to really reach financial freedom (whatever that looks like to you) one must UNLEARN the bs we’ve been taught.

Dave Ramsey did a study of over 10K millionaires. 98% say that their 401K contributed HEAVILY to their wealth. INVEST IN YOUR COMPANIES 401K!!!

John de Rockefeller told the education board, I don't need thinkers, I want workers and that's why he funded education 😊

Essentially, there are many ways to make money work for you, but you just gotta get out there, take a risk, and make it work for you.

People this is solid advice, I became a millionaire with real estate and construction. How? because I listened to nothing that poor people told me. I don't have a financial planner, and I don't take money advice from people with less money than me.

Okay, thanks for the interview. He sounds crazy and now I look at his books as b.s. No earned degree, all failures until the "Rich Dad" book jumped off, dad was similarly a con artist pretending to be degreed, doesn't believe in investing (umm...have you ever heard of Warren Freaking Buffet?!") and loves Trump. I wouldn't believe this guy if he said Good Morning.

The way he feels about the stock market is the same way Warren Buffet feels about the Gold that Robert tells people to buy. Wealthy people will tell you buy this asset over the other there pros and cons to owning each asset. BTW kiyosaki has talked about doing Option trading and Investing in stocks as well crypto do not so much listen to what rich people say but watch what they do

Stocks are not for people trying to get rich tomorrow. They are a piece of a company you can put some cash into then sell a few years from now at a profit. Buy good companies not a stock you heard about in an industry you don’t understand. Gas cars and electric cars use tires right? Maybe you should buy stock in a tire company. Just a thought.
