I can't eat gold, nor fire it. There is essentially no value other than flaunting you can afford to buy a (semi) useless metal.

Gold's price is now up almost $300 since last November's lows. Currently at $1, 915 an ounce as inflation fears seem to be dissipating (for now).

If it's so hard to extract, then why not just leave it if we are wasting so much resources just to extract it?
