Resin 3D printers are an immensely powerful tool in the hands of a maker and they have never been more accessible. So welcome to a rundown on this technology. One of the best Resin 3D Printer in the business right now is the LD-00H UV 3D Printer. Resin Printers create models using the principle of photo-polymerization. That seems like a complicated word but really it just means the printer is curing liquid resin with light (in the case of these Creality printers a UV light). This is done layer by layer, with each layer stacking on top of each other, to create a 3D Model. Typically, DLP (digital light processing) resin 3D printers have a vertically moving build platform (on which the 3D printed object is formed), a light source, a light mask, and a resin tank. Resin 3D printers can form an object normally or upside down, but usually, they are formed upside down. On time lapse photography, it really looks as though the object is being pulled out of the tank. Creality printers have many different slicers programs that can work with them. Slicing software creates files that the projector can use to cure each layer precisely. It is akin to providing a recipe for an expert chef to follow. Along with the Creality LD-002H 3D printer or Creality LD-002R 3D printer, you will receive several tools and supplies in the box. This video goes through the purpose of these and compares this printer to its older brother the Creality LD-002R. The very first step for setting up any Resin 3D Printer is to level and home the Print Platform. The goal here is to make sure the print platform is perfectly flat in relation to the surface of the LCD screen and has a zero point exactly where the top of the FEP sheet is. This video will focus on Creality Resin Printers but this process is basically the same for all resin machines. With that step complete all you need to do it fill the tank with some fresh resin (say the 2/3 mark), plug in the USB stick with files, and press play because your resin printer is ready to start printing!

I think the process needs clarification here.... You have a protective film on the LCD + a sheet of paper to home the build plate Z height. Then immediately pull off the protective film.

Now that film is about the same thickness of the paper.... so are you saying you level to 2 x sheets of paper once you've removed the protective film for all future leveling events?

I homed the base plate an the resin isn't sticking to the plate. I've had this printer for a year. Havnt used it in about 2 months. I'm back to using it an my resin won't stick to the base plate. I've tried this method 3 times an nothing. Not really sure what to do. Hope you can help.

I live in a pretty tight space. Only my room is suitable to print in; however it’s small and I’m forced to close my door so my dog doesn’t pee in it. Should I just open a window when printing or?

In the manual is says to loosen, home and then tighten on the protective covering without the A4 paper. I've had my resin printer for over 3 months without trying it yet!! I want to make sure I understand how to use it before I try, maybe in a couple months (not really)!!! LOL!

Great video. What gloves do you recommend? I have mixed search results. Some say 100% nitrate. Others a blend between nitrate and vinyl. What are your thoughts?

Same question regarding the correct type of filter for the breathing mask. I've got a 3M mask but I see different types of filters.

Amazing video! Question: How does this model compare to the Creality Halot One? I can pick up either for the same price! But I cant find what the differences are between the Halot vs the ld002h (is it the same thing?)
