I feel like this being the "more approachable" version of Pokemon for newcomers has taken out the struggle. I know Miranda is a huge Pokemon fan and is very knowledgable about Pokemon. But, for her to end the game as an "undefeated trainer" is absolutely ridiculous. The whole joy of Pokemon back in the day was having the odds against you and finally breaking through to win against a better opponent. You grew from it and it was extremely satisfying. This game seems like it's more about giving you participation trophies in the form of letting you win each battle if you know even a little about which types of Pokemon to play.

This looks like it would be fun as a cheaper game, but not a full priced game. For so long fans have wanted an actual Pokémon game on console not an altered stay at home Pokémon go. I mean it’s Pokémon and you can’t battle wild Pokémon.

Update; I actually played it a bit and I must say it is pretty fun, but I stick by my comment on that I think it would be more appropriately priced if it was cheaper. I do feel like I am ‘missing’ out by not being able to battle

Picked this up at midnight and my wife and I put about 6 hours into it so far. We are really enjoying it. We both also have been playing pokemon since the orginal Red/blue/yellow.

Despite the casualaty, you have to admit this is the most beautiful and charming pokemon game to date. I mean, trainers actually show emotion for peat sake. Also just me, but I like the music.

My 9 yo son wanted the Let go Eevee so I got got for him with the Pokemon Nintendo Switch limited edition. He hasn't put it down and still plays it
