I have to say my family is Mexican & I can’t think of one recipe besides mole that my G grandma Pastora or nana has ever made using allspice unless they’re baking something.

I’m not saying what your cooking wouldn’t be good but, I’ve never had it & can’t picture what that would taste like. Guess I’ll have to try it! 😁
Also, we tend to use dark red chili powder vs cumin but, i know many families recipes are often different depending on where your from. An example is Tex-Mex i find uses more cumin in recipes.

Best taco seasoning is not the packet you buy (I know you’d neva 😆) for anyone buying those get urself some good dark red chili powder, granulated garlic, and the secret ingredient is Lawry’s season salt but, doesn’t take much unless you’re salty! 😜 You can add fresh onions & garlic as well to the meat but, if in a rush just those 3 spices are fantastic!
we do ground turkey tacos which you need to add more spices to it, as it doesn’t have the fat for flavor but, they’re healthy! It’s also good for people who can’t eat beef or pork. Gosh I miss the OG chorizo😔
I’ll have to try this recipe with chicken & i bet yours wasn’t only made at home but, better cuz chipotle rice is bland AF & when you get more grizzle & funky parts of chx when it’s supposed to be the breast why bother 🤷🏻‍♀️ if i want a great bowl i don’t have to cook Rubios coastal grill - California bowl is 1000x better! Can you make that one at home? Keep up the yummy recipes! 🙏
