Cool! You have to make sure you heatsink the MOSFETs somehow. If you could tie them to the casing that could help. Just keep in mind that sometimes the heatsink is tied to the gate or one of the terminals, so you could use a special washer that conducts heat but not electricity to prevent shorting.

Torque arms are fairly easy to make up from old brackets etc, Dremel, grinder and drill. Do you feel having a bank of supercaps in parallel(suitable series voltage) with the battery that smoothes out the harshness of acceleration might improve range on an ebike? I think it does, for example, when the bms is due to cut out, if I keep a steady throttle, I can get prety good end of life range, but if I were to do a couple of heavy accelerations it would cutout. This got me thinking of smoothing out that heavy amp pull from a charged battery, here's the(my) problem Shaun, it needs current limiting into the caps to prevent surge, I could use bulbs, but this feels so wasteful?

How many amps can each MOSFET run continuously. Also how are you cooling them?
