I agree.. Finishing a story is terrible.. This is why i comment before i watch the video.

1. Don't spend years on worldbuilding.
2. Don't rewrite the whole thing from scratch everytime there's a flaw.
3. Spend time writing, not researching.

Of course he was a professional linguist and literary scholar who wrote his work on the side while having an actual career, so it should really be...

What's the point in finishing a story? Just write "to be continued..." whenever you run out of ideas and call it the end (of part 1 of 15).

A perfect story can only be written by a perfect person. In other words, it doesn't exist. The best thing you can do is write the best story you can make.

Reminds me of when I wrote an entire volume detailing the intricate history, geography, biology and culture of my world before deleting my draft halfway through chapter one.
