I became a beliver in God, and became a born again Christian, ( protestant ) I was in a prosperity belief church (false religoun ) through their teaching I became anti catholic, I was attacking mary, the eucharist and the pope, but through the Holy spirit and seeking the truth I became a Catholic, by prayer and study, so my point being I understand what the pope said, because by my personal experience, I found God from a false belief system that led me to the truth of the catholic church,

The Magi, who came from another religion, followed the Star to Bethlehem according to the pagan principles of astrology and met Jesus anyway. There are seeds of truth in all religions, so that even those religions can, in a way or another, take you on the one way to God.
Were it not like this, a huge part of humanity would never have a chance to be saved.
That doesn't violate Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus. It's the Church who offers the Blessed Sacrament for the sins of humanity, so that all may have a chance of being saved.

Many types of followers of Christ are firmly convinced that their view of faith is the only correct one. That people who think they should follow Jesus Christ in a fundamentally different way can never enter heaven. There are hundreds of essentially different ways of believing. This stubborn "my faith is the only sanctifying" group cannot provide convincing evidence for their view. This is true because there are millions of people honestly searching for the best arguments for their belief or disbelief and if there were convincing evidence for a belief there would be no religious disputes.

On all the points of contention: -- the role of women, God vs. gays, euthnasia, divorce, abortion, etc., etc. -- there are good sincere and sensible believers who come to opposite answers. Pretending that your opinion is the only one sanctioned by God is self-deception.

Come on, the pope visited Indonesia which a country of religious peace despite a strong muslim presence. He should learn how to avoid the journalists who ask him such question. On one hand the purity of Faith is at stake and on the other the religious peace in the country! I regard this event as a bad preparation and weakness of the pope. How can he seriously answer questions of such complexity in one sentence without causing wide misleading??!

Thank you for finding this Magisterial document, which is part of the foundation upon which we can understand Pope Francis's most resent statements about other religions and the use that the Holy Spirit makes of them.

Simply by wearing his papal garb, Pope Francis is referring us back to all the Teachings that have come before him, and form the foundations of his thoughts.
