Exploring Trails in Turkey. Trail Running in Fethiye. Run Streak - 5 km a Day on Holiday.

After more than 2 years I finally got to take Poppy away on holiday. I love our holidays together as they're great for some real quality time together. I do still manage to keep up my 5 km a day run streak though.

I love running along a beach or exploring local trails wherever we are so I thought I'd bring you with me on a 5 km run. We were staying in Çalış, in Fethiye, Turkey. I should have done a bit more research about local wildlife before I hit the trails as you'll find out!

I think it’s because we’re from somewhere with no really dangerous wildlife - I never think to check things like that either! What a nice spot for a run

Wonderful place to be after 2 years of lockdowns etc Nicola. Nothing like a good snake encounter to set the heart racing. Similar happened to me in Albania. Our guide advised a wide berth as it was a very dangerous one. Thanks for sharing some of your holiday. Take care.

Snakes and dogs can make things interesting and we were all badly stung by bees when out walking the other week!

What a great trail Nicola - peace and scares in equal measure. I saw the video title and thought we might have the stray dog chase, but a snake was pretty hardcore too 🪱 Glad you had a super getaway - looking forward to your 100 miler
