Hiking the Carian trail is full of surprises. I have never seen beaches in Turkey so full of rubbish as here on the Datça Peninsula. I sure hope they will clean them up soon.

Looks like people are relaxed about camping. I guess be polite, do not make a mess and do not camp on someone's doorstep but otherwise OK? Do you usually ask the nearest house if it's ok to camp? Camping on a beach is fine?

Do you worry about gear stolen from tents? Would you leave kit and tent for a few hours? I remember Turkey being very safe from thieves but I guess things change.

We have same problem with plastic pollution on beaches in Scotland, if not touristic or with road access, a lot of fishing nets . We used to gather and burn plastic sometimes but that leaves a big lump of melted plastic and fumes. Now sometimes we gather it into a pile and hope someone will collect it. Too many people dumping rubbish in the sea.

It is snowing in Scotland. Very envious of your tshirt and shorts! December holiday to Turkey cancelled due to new covid measures not working for us. Gutted. Hope to get there in May but who knows these days!!

I have spent 7 weeks of my life in Turkey. 2 were on gulet cruises from marmaris. I remember on one cruise we visited cleopatras Bath House. When I Google it it is near Fethiye and it looks like the same one. Not watched many of your vlogs yet but wondered if you have been close to it or visited it. Keep up the good work loving your travels. Amazed by your NRG

Another fantastic video. Looks well worth exploring! Quick question though, where do you get your Campingaz in Turkey? My local shop in Alanya wants me to take one of the little Aygaz bottles! Not carrying that - we need something smaller!

Weer erg mooi filmpje, maar wat een troep op het strand. Jammer voor zo'n mooi land met een prachtige natuur. Voordat ik naar Dalyan ging, waren wij in Alanya. Maakte daar wandellingen in het achterland. Ook daar allemaal huisafval etc.

Good morning, I rely envy you. You have great hiking time there in Datca. Please keep going. I’m almost there to. Dreaming of coming and doing same think in near future. Nature looks beautiful. I can imagine smells of different herbs on your path. You are so fit, caring that backpacks looks exhausting. That is only what I’m not sure of, if I have stamina for it or not. In any case have fun be safe.
