Good video man! Though you also forgot the influence of Nordic Folk Music. Jesper from In Flames said so himself in a 90s interview lol

I've always been amazed by the first song on Kreator's Coma The Soul. When the Sun Burns Red, came out in 1990, and it sounds sooo much like Gothenburg metal.

Another very detailed vid! I'm surprised you didn't pick Blinded by Fear, I feel it conveys the style a little bit better.

Cool vid! I always thought it was interesting how one of the corner stone influences of the "Gothenburg Sound" and melodic death metal as a whole was Carcass, largely because Carcass grew out of the English grindcore scene and pioneered goregrind.

That melody/ Melodic part sounds like a part from the song spirit crusher by #Death

Hey man, first of all awesome vid.So my question is, do you think that the main riff to Metallica's Master Of Puppets inspired any Gothenburg riffs ?

It sucks that your videos give so much detail yet you barely get any views
