Re new cases slide.. they need to add percentage of daily tests positive factor which hopefully gives a trend irrespective of amount of tests taken going forward....

Yesterday we had a slide on Testing capacity (UK) in the Press Conference Slides. That was good. It gave confidence the Government was making progress. Why drop it? Transparency is key to keeping the public on side.

I would recommend everybody watch the select committee hearing between MPs and Chris Whitty today at youtube watch?v=AAywZVrojEk
They asked him how he measures the Rzero and he says it's just estimated from hospital admissions. Then they ask him how he measured the rate of transmission leading to the lock down and he just blithely says 'SAGE estimated the number'. They don't ask him how that number was measured. They basically started the lock down with no idea of the prevalence of corona in the UK, and with a normal death rate happening at the time. And now we see the death rate soaring after the lock down, and the MPs don't bother to ask whether the lock down might be causing the high death rate.
