Tip #1 is a fantastic backswing tip! First time I've ever seen this, anywhere! Thank you!

So good that Mark gives us enough to start playing with it to get our own particular patterns in there to see what we tend to do at impact!

sitting here at work watching this. I will put it to the test when I go out and play. Thanks

I’m an inside roller and redirect golfer. Closing the face and arcing the lead wrist whilst always having the butt end of the club facing me does it . Worked this out myself and is very counter intuitive but pleased to know I’m not crazy .. game is 50 times better .

Best drill tip heard in a very long time

This dril is one of my favorites because the takeaway is the one thing that makes and brakes my ability to strike the ball. Living on the east coast of the US, I can only play about 7-8 months out of the year and I find the one thing that waivers at the beginning of the season is my takeaway, it just seems to be the one thing that always feels a little off and until I watch my swing back on video, I don't realize I'm taking the club away usually to far inside with not enough width and/or getting a little funky with my angles. This drill really helps me get my takeaway feeling "correct" and also beyond feeling connected, it helps me feel where the club face is in relation to path at every point in the swing. Which as we know, is imperative on the golf course...especially when having to shape shots or hit the ball off of a funky lie, you really need to understand and feel your club path and face angle. Unlike just swinging at the range you can sort of get into a habit of making a swing that results in a decent path and face angle but not really being able to feel or control the club face. Then you get out onto the course with ball below your feet and slightly uphill and you can't keep the ball anywhere near target. Anyways, just wanted to share my thoughts on this drill as it's extremely helpful for me. Cheers!

Did this at the range mark was spot on I found for me closing the face slightly gave me a fairly straight ball flight

Mark, when I turn down face and change aim to the right, I get pull hooks. How do you get ball to start to the right? Is it a left knee movement to start the backswing?

Another banger Mark! 🔥 I would argue that the hip/grip connection keeps you cantered in your turn. Bonus!

I really like the advice to try different clubhead positions on the takeaway

Hi There Crossy. Been watching u for some time now, This is your best explanation of takeaway I have ever seen or anyone explain And show the movement precisely. Interesting after all these years I feel like I have watched your swing get better each time and been on the journey with you. I like your honesty and ability to work out the box. Chasing the trends trends is not the answer. Understanding what a Amateur Golfer feels and needs to correct most common faults is the real answer with solid Drills. I have been rolling my wrists for 20 years and I bet 95% of self taught people do this. I have now started to turn my wrist towards the ground And simply turn with great results. You must still roll the wrists at the right time to prevent leaving the face open. This varies as the club length changes. The shorter the club the faster the Roll over, I hope this make sense Crossy, All the best Mate, Would Love to have a Game with you some Time
