I didn't include my Bose 32's here cause I think they run at a higher speed- price, expectations, promise...This is my go to system.

I used my pair of Evolve 30Ms for a folk trio gig with 200 people and they sounded great. The wide sound dispersion was a real bonus and we didn't need any stage monitors. We had barely any feedback issues. I was initially a bit confused as to why the second speaker had no volume but then everything was sorted after I realised that the master volume of the second unit was inadvertently turned down by yours truly!

FYI, just bought 2 RCF J8's. Had them out at an outdoor church festival last night. They are now my go-to reception and event speaker. Love these things!

From a musicians standpoint and being very picky about sound quality, I bought the Jmix8, and what fantastic sounding system. Using a UA interface with high quality backing tracks, my vocals, etc., I've filled large outdoor events with plenty of volume. Bass, mids, and high end are all well balanced, couldn't be happier. Agree, a little lighter would be nice, but with this quality, I accept it. A trick to make the Jmix8 lighter to move; take out the array speaker column from the back of the sub cabinet, it's 6 lbs lighter. :)

I got the RCF J8 when it first came out for only $900 each. I thought that was expensive but now they have gone up. The Jmix is the same but it has a mixer section. These are good for weddings and parties for up to 100 people, maybe 150. At my weddings there is often a small dance area and that's mostly what I need to cover for dancing. But for announcements and toast they cover far more than that.
The 12 inch woofers are the smallest a DJ should go. In my case I also add a small subwoofer since I play hip hop and bass heavy dance music. It's not required but it helps a lot.
You can also just use one pole (it comes with two poles that connect) and shorten the height of the setup. This might come in handy if you are playing high up on a stage and don't need a lot of height. The ability to adjust height was the sealed the deal for me over the EV 50M.
Also as was pointed out none of these systems are for big 300 person crowds although I would love to see what 4 of these could do in a room. I kept my JBL tops and two subs so I could bring all of this to a larger event if needed.

I bought a of RCF J8's to replace my Tubrosound IP-3000's, The Turbosounds are defiantly louder and have lots of bass, but the the RCF's do hold their own in medium sized wedding up to about 150 people, and that is having the limiter flash a few times through out the evening.

If you like a 12 inch sub, and a good amount of volume, I suggest that you check out the JBL PRX One. $1600, But I think it gets louder than the RCF.

Why do the colors continuously change (while playing music and or vocal) on the LED dynamic lights? I am referring to the seven lights under the seven channel attenuator buttons. The colors change from yellow, green, red, etcetera. Thank you.

I have owned all of them and returned all for the Peavey LN1063 Compact Column Array Portable PA System

Think about this, JBL has battery power but to do that at this price there has to be a sacrifice and its sound quality as opposed to say EV30M that is aweso.e sound quality.

@aaron Strawn did you say here or another video that the JBL through a mixer first came out clearer sound quality wise?

Good video Aaron! I compared the EV 30M, JBL MK2, and the Bose L1 Pro 16 at my local guitar center and they all sounded great, BUT the Bose L1 Pro was the BEST!!! Man, this thing is LOUD with clear highs and good lows! So I bought the Bose. Also, took your advice and bought that ADJ DOTZ TPAR and I love it!!! Thanks 👍🏼

I do small to medium weddings, do you think the RCF 910a's 2x with a RCF 705 15" sub will be enough for weddings of 150 people? I'd have a QSC K12.2 on site too.

Something I forgot to add in my previous comment that you may not have consider the eon has subwoofer output and the necessary crossovers to make it work

What do you think would work for a 30’x30’ room with maybe 30 people max? I want to use for indoor cycling class that I can also use at home, small backyard parties etc. would a Bose L1 pro 16 (with sub2) get 85db and good bass throughout the space? Primarily house/EDM…
