You must mention that this makes a mess of the topology. Not everything has to be game ready but ngons are evil.

I usually make the individual pieces myself, (door, ceiling, floor, wall, etc) then I use the pieces as measurements and reference for the others, to give everything a cohesive style and scale. It’s super easy to import between projects, and saves you a lot of time guessing!

For people worried about crazy topology, remember limited dissolve is you friend and can clean up even complicated meshes

Just a begginner but wouldn't that mess up the topology of the overall mesh? That boolean would probably make ngones on the affected faces, right?

Booleans are always useful, but you'd still end up with the same (or maybe worse topology) extra geometry if the modifier needed to be applied

Also theres an addon called bool tools where you just select the two or more objects and with a shortcut get a menu to apply boolean modifiers. It also makes the brush object into a box visibility automatically.

I don't know if I 100% know how to use booleans correctly, but from my experience it creates a bunch of n-gons which for games at the very least is bad. Although I'm probably just using them wrong.

what about when for example i would need to export the fbx into lets say unreal or twinmotion
its still showing the box and not the cut hole thing
what would you recommend?

Keep in mind to use solidify in the cube or something like that, sometimes i forgot to do it😂
