I was supposed to fly back to Cincinnati from LA for Homecoming a few weeks ago. That obviously didn’t happen thanks to COVID. Now I’m watching this as loud as possible, and it definitely helps. I can’t wait to be in a crowd of people again, sweaty, dehydrated, and drunk, listening to The National and singing along with strangers. Thanks for this.

I saw them at a big outdoor show in Manchester around the same time as this and it was one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen. They just work so well through those giant speakers it was like my head was under a waterfall of beautiful noise, and I knew every word too. Wonderful
