I Rode The Entire METRO TRANSIT CTA In ONE DAY!!!!!

This was something that I always wanted to check off my bucket list. I didn't think this would be possible at first, but I managed to accomplish passing through all 145 stations and taking 8 lines of the CTA. I also made a TIER LIST about every line as well.

The CTA is the 2nd longest Metro in the U.S. and I honestly did not think I would be able to accomplish this like I said. There were delays, but I didn't let that stop me.

Follow me Elsewhere!!!:

Music is from Epidemic Sound and the Tube (Library and Creators [Otis McDonald & SimsBeats])
Outro: Ottom - Cherry Blossom

Everything was recorded on the Pixel 6 Pro (also used a usb-c lavalier mic in some clips)

A quick shoutout to graeginator!!!

Hi there!
While you may think that only one other person has done this, you are completely mistaken! There is actually a decent sized community of CTA speedrunners, and I personally have done it twice (first time was 10 hours second time was 9 hours). I would note that if you were actually trying to do it as fast as possible, then you would have to significantly change your route, and start at different locations. Also using buses is always helpful. As a current south side student, I have taken the Red and Green lines there plenty of times, and I must say I am a big fan of the Red Line. Perhaps it should be S tier. Good job and props for exploring!

11:17 The 63 CTA Bus goes straight to Ashland/63. I don’t think you’d be able to take the train either because you’d have to pay another fare (you can’t cross to another train without paying a second time)

when i moved to Chicago back in 1999 i rode every line just to get used to it. It is the best way to get comfortable riding it. I used to ride the Blue line to Forest park back when the pink line was part of the blue line. I was so glad it split because the blue line runs more often to Forrest park (instead of alternate every other train to the pink line). I was able to leave later to go to work.

The Blue Line does not go to the Southside.

I’m familiar with the blue line and now getting familiar with the brown line. The south side is really dangerous especially in Englewood area but I don’t go there too much only often but I take the blue line a lot. I’m a Chicagoan

Would you do this again now that trains are running a tad more frequently than it was during the pandemic?

The CTA is far safer than driving. It's good to take precautions in unfamiliar places, but you didn't need to.

I did this, when I was a kid. There was no Orange Line then, nor was there the Red Line on the South Side.
