WHITE SUPREMACY & TOKENISM IN THE AMERICAN MEDICAL & THERAPY LOCATIONS: Real experiences: My child is special needs, and we've faced years of Dept of Education ignoring us and 75% of the special needs therapists being racist (overt and covert) with us. In the feeding therapy, we were forced out of program days into a multi-month program due to racism and unprofessionalism. In the ER and regular hospital scenarios, we've had doctors and nurses lie to us, belittle us, walk away from us, not give us pain meds (prior to surgeries and before entering the surgery room), and gaslight us. Although there are some positive experiences, for the most part, we try not to go to a medical institution or therapy clinic.
