Structural Racism in Health Care

Racism has played a role in all aspects of medicine, from medical research to patient health outcomes. This lecture will specifically focus on how racism impacts us as healthcare professionals, and how we can promote an anti-racist healthcare system for the next generation.

My whatever from a psychiatric hospital asked me if I was prejudiced. When I was twenty, I rather be dead than in a hospital. I was told to go to a psychiatric hospital and I was never at a medical hospital ever admitted at that time. Heh, I am white. My Dad wanted me to be a nurse, but I didn’t know what bedside manners were.
