Felt bad for the cat in ths first story. My family had a black cat a while back and I became his favorite person in the house since I was the only person who didn't give a damn about the hair and let him sleep in my room. Eventually he started sleeping in my bed every single night, it was great. Cat companionship is pretty underated and made it easier to get cozy and comfortable. Ever since he passed almost a decade ago, I've genuinly had a much harder time getting to sleep at night.

okay, but why have a cat if you’re gonna lock it in a basement?? if you don’t want to deal with cat hair, don’t get a cat. or get a hairless cat or a breed that doesn’t shed. from the start of the first story, i was so scared that poor cat was gonna get killed.

As a cat dad, the people in the first story really pissed me off. Majority of the house cats, outdoor or not, form very strong bonds with their owners. You just have to earn it. Sleeping near their owner gives them safety, and it makes them feel like they're protecting you as well. Locking poor Cosmo in the basement every night, let alone with a creep, all because of cat hair is extremely lazy, borderline cruel and definitely irresponsible.
