Artista: The Doors
Album: The Soft Parade (Expanded) [40th Anniversary]
Canción: Wishful Sinful

Wishful crystal
Water covers
Everything in blue
Coolin' water

Wishful, sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came

Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue

Magic risin' sun is shinin'
Deep beneath the sea
But not enough for you and me and sunshine
Love to hear the wind cry

Wishful sinful
Our love is beautiful to see
I know where I would like to be
Right back where I came

Wishful, sinful, wicked blue
Water covers you
Wishful, sinful, wicked you
Can't escape the blue

Love to hear the wind cry
Love to hear you cry, yeah, yeah.

Another Robby Krieger masterpiece. Morrison wrote most of The Doors stuff, but Krieger wrote several truly great songs. The Doors were much more dynamic than most people realize--(as most of the people here already know) Krieger, Manzarek and Densmore were way, way more than Morrison's backing band.

This song, which happens to be one of my favorite Doors' songs, really shows off how great Jim Morrison's voice was. Thanks!

Try to hear this song in one of the sides of your headphones. Each instruments are separated. It's so cool how they worked with a few channels on those days

I have loved this song since the sixties and never knew the lyrics. The few words I was able to put together back then were beautiful. Now I know how truly amazing Jim's poetry is. It makes you think. I like Moonlight drive as well.

So beautiful, so timeless. Great arrangement and production. Thank you Doors. You and me and sunshine.

What's also cool in this track is the occasional dissonance of the instrumentation intermingled with the beautiful lyrics, and Jim's voice. Yet, it still comes across melodic and tight.

Morrison often sounds like Sinatra: this is an example

Morrison was the Sinatra of psychedelia.

One question. When he says "Wicked Blue", is he saying the word for a sad person or the color blue???? I need to know that, whwn i put that on the translator it says the color but i think it's not.
