Vintage Jewelry Identification Tips - Glass & Moonstones

In this video we will look at a variety of antique and vintage glass, and moonstones!

The glass jewelry showcased includes iridescent, uranium/selenium/cadmium, and milk glass necklaces. We will also take a look at moonstone simulants including moon glow glass and moonstone glass, as well as some lovely genuine moonstones.

You'll want to keep your eyes peeled for these treasures, and bring a UV light to help with identification!

A small black light is handy for thrift shopping...get a lot of strange looks sometimes, but that's part of the fun! Great research on glass, which sometimes eludes our collector's eyes when we are looking for the "GEMS" but overlook the "TREASURES" hidden in the simple things.
The Pre-AB glass is very interesting and just to think how the inventor GLOWED, when that first hint of color appeared..would be an excellent movie! This was great and informative!

Glass💙… always a favorite of mine. My mother was not a big collector of Jewelry. But, the sparkly AB glass pieces she had in her top drawer left hand side under the slips in the green box w/ green velvet lining 😉… were always calling to a young Suzy🌸
