ProForm Smart 2000 treadmill Creaks
Показать описание
The creaking that occurs with every single step (or tiny bounce) you make on my treadmill.
Imagine running with this noise for an hour.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the storage latch. I have lubed the belt. I have lubed all metal/metal contact points I can see. I have lubed the incline mechanism. If anyone has ANY IDEA how I can fix this please let me know.
My Motor hood does not come off. I unscrew all five screws and lift "up and out" and it does not come loose on either side.
UPDATE: I have finally gotten the motor hood off. This particular model, Proform Smart Pro 2000 PFTL13118.4, has seven screws holding the motor hood in place.
The five hood screws are the typical arrangement you'll find on all newer Proforms (from my research and the Proform video on how to remove a treadmill hood). When folding the treadmill into the storage position, on the underside of the deck you'll find a cluster of three screws holding on the side boards. The top screw in the three screw arrangement, the one closest to the motor, holds the motor hood in place. When a total of 7 screws were removed, the hood came right off.
After meticulous checking, the creaking was coming from the screw holding the deck in place. We loosened it, lubed the screw, nut, washer, and foam piece and it relieved the squeaking nose.
