Get Ready With Prince Yaza | VUGUE (CalArts 2023)

My second year film at CalArts!! Had a lot of fun making this one and I would like to thank a few people for helping me. Huge thank you to Alex Fortunato for working with me again on the amazing music and sound design. Thanks to my voice actors Steven Myat and Anya Butler for breathing life into these characters! This project was so fun to work on and I hope you enjoy watching it!

HOLY SHIT-- I was expecting the typical cute "get ready with me" video but then all the little things like the family portrait, the eye twitch, the violent clench kinda got me a little on the edge-- and then BOOM the "secret" ending, oml jaw dropped.

The low-poly designs paired with the VFX gives this film such a unique aesthetic. Low-poly characters are so underutilized; I wish more artists embraced it.

But I have lived in myanmar for just over half a decade

It's so interesting seeing stuff like this
Honestly I don't see much media relating to myanmar that much other than the recent war

no hate on mental health narrative short films with "close up" sound effects-- I just rarely see anything so different even if some of them are really cool and unique spins and I love them😅

This is so cool!!! Im a burmese artist and ive never really seen myanmar being represented in art. I love how you showed an alternative universe where the monarchy never ended, i've always wondered what it would've been like myself. I love the use of burmese aesthetics in the building being shown with the gold and clothing. The animation is awesome thank you for making this!
