During British period all schools were having playgrounds. Later politicians irrespective of party schemed and looted these for real estate value. Now new schools and colleges show scant interest for physical education.

What cricket are we talking about. NZ has won 7 gold medals and amongst the top 15 countries in terms of medal tally. They also happen to be the world test champions in cricket. I am sure Cricket NZ is poorer than BCCI. It is not about the money. A country with 5 mil which is less than the population of Jaipur have better grassroot infrastructure. We have a young population that cant go and play any sports as we dont have facilities and event organisers. Any bodybuilder seems to want to go to Bollywood than power lifting or wrestlers. Unless we change our mindset and adopt sports in the fields. Roads and carparks are not fields.
