Bobby Fischer Changed his Mind about Women in Chess (1972)

In an earlier interview, former World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer said that women are terrible chess players, should be kept out of intellectual affairs and stay at home cleaning. In this interview from 1972, shortly before his World Championship against Boris Spassky, he seems to have changed his opinion somewhat.

Everyone brings up the other video of the same question asked when he was younger. This might be shocking to younger people today, but people do grow and change as they mature.

This is a good opportunity to see that it is okay to change opinions over time. Its like seeing a politician have a different opinion from 15 years ago and saying "LOOK THEY ARE INCONSISTENT" when in reality people change their views overtime. This is good!
