My kid brother passed away on 10 January this year and left me among other things his lovely watch collection of which his Rolex Daytona panda was the crowning glory and that's the reason I'm watching these video's, doesn't matter to me what it's worth as I don't wear it and will never sell it, just pleased my brother had such exquisite taste. PS I wear my old Seiko 5 sports watch more befitting of my station in life.

I was born in 1963 So the Daytona has been on my list for a while.

Totally agree. White dial Daytona looked way too small on the wrist and respectfully more feminine. I ended up getting the black dial at retail. I’m still on waiting list for white dial, not for me but my wife. It looks amazing on her.

I have chosen to have the black dial first, as my daily watch, while I am planning to buy the white dial later for collection.

Panda Daytona is No.1 and if that’s unaffordable get the look at a fraction of the price with the Tudor BB Baytona(you even get the date:)

Really enjoy your videos, you give good honest sound content and advice about the watch hobby, I bought a Panda (2016) in 2018, used two years old, full set in good condition and paid $19, 000, I just fell in love with the mirror ceramic bezel on top of that white dial, I never imagined it would command the prices it does now and so comfortable on the wrist although a bit hard to read with my senior eyes but looking at it makes you smile!

I can’t believe what you just said about people calling because the second hand is not working referring to the chronograph, that tells you that people only buy Daytona’s to say the have one but actually don’t know anything about watches, how can you buy a Daytona for who knows how much without knowing how a chronograph works??.

Both are beautiful but I chose the black dial. The Panda, no doubt is cool but it’s more common and I believe the black is slightly more classy. It’s great on a leather strap too

I’d take the black for sure, both look ace though. I had a two tone Daytona BMoP that I sold. Only used the stop watch function once to time the dog going for a dump in the garden and back again during a thunderstorm :)

Both are great. Panda for me but if the AD calls me offering me a black one, I’d be there picking up before we hang up. Lol. I actually own the Panda but I paid secondary market price for it.

Picked up a solid white gold Daytona today with black and diamond dial from an AD. Just walked in a asked if they had anything available and they offered it to me. I had 0 spend history with this shop 🥳

I honestly don’t think anyone would take their Rolex to either dive (submariner) or running for the stopwatch function. My problem with Daytona is it looks very busy, but the white dial is beautiful tho

Absolute beauts. My only issue (personally) is they wear too small. That is the fault of me ;-) not the watch. I prefer the Pre-ceramic on the Black dial, I have the 116520. I think the Black on White of the Ceramic Panda works perfectly. Great vid as always mate!

I'm fairly new to watch collecting. I have a Rolex Yacht Master 40 w/Bright Blue dial and just got a Daytona, two tone, black dial with diamonds. How easy are those to get and how popular is that Daytona model?
