I recently sound tested a pair of EV Evolve 30m's and a pair of Maui 5 Go's. Let's listen to how they compare. I used the onboard bluetooth for both tests. I think the Maui 5 Go's actually sound better - What do you think?

I recently bought the maui 5 go and I've added a 25 mm dome tweeter under the first driver with a 3.3 uF cap. Improved a lot in clarity

I like the Balanced sound of the Maui 5, the EV sound really boxy without mids.

Can't tell from video, EV much cleaner high end and goes louder. Bass about equal. EV has an excellent App, Maui5 no App, definitely older tech. If you don't need internal power EV is the superior speaker!

yep.. ld maui sounds fuller.. less thin .. ev has all highs and bass sounds like its stuggling a little. none of that on the ld. However... I have the LD curve... and it smokes the maui. It's a little dated but honestly its the best compact "column array" on the market today with a wooden sub and tops designed for that full bose dispersion sound but with all the detail and mids too. I have tried several newer systems.. and nothing comes close.. not even k.2's or pro L16 within its price range.

The Maui sounds better. A SPL measuring device would be super helpful too.

A impressão é que a EV tem deficiência de frequência média...

EV has deep bass probably because it has a 10 " woofer
and good treble but no mids, LD has no deep bass but sounds more balanced.
And EV has no battery and costs a lot more.

Which one is the loudest ? EV ?
