ALOCS 7 Piece Camping Cook Set - Mod #1 - Elevated - Boil Test

In one of my last videos on the ALOCS 7 Piece Camping Cook Set I elevated the pot stand so there was no problem getting enough air to the Mini Trangia burner. Since then I've got a number of people emailing me to inform me that I screwed up the test because I used the higher set of holes for the wire pot stand instead of the lower ones that are at the usual "sweet spot" on the Trangia. The "sweet Spot" is about a one inch space between burner and bottom of pot.

In this video I redo the test using Mod#1 with the elevated pot stand in hopes of getting a better boil time.

Here is some info on this cookset taken from the ad on eBay:

I'm enjoying these ALOCS conundra videos. yes, they are a bit, er, crap. But, stick it in your backpack and use it outdoors on a breezy day to make a mug of brew and a pan of noodles and it is actually a nice bit of kit to use. Bit bulky, but did tea + noodles for myself and a son without issue. It just worked.
Didn't bother timing, but it didn't seem to take too long, and who cared with that view anyway?. Took no more room than the Mini + winshield.

do they advertise that cookset to use wood fuel fire also? that large opening would make fire tending easier. and the floor holes and side vent holes would be required for burning. I am liking my MOJO Trangia 9 panel wind screen more and more watching each test of other gear.

That Stanley Adventure Series cookset looks like it would fit. It's stainless steel though and may have slower boil time than reg aluminum, but may be faster than the anodized aluminum
