This was a -great- show, but the show the day after this (Weakerthans @ Bitterzoet, Amsterdam - can be found under my playlists on my YouTube channel page) was even better! John K. Samson was in a better mood, smiling more ... and the venue was a little more intimate. I have some amazing vids of this as well. Definitely recommended to check them out.

Have to add to the sentiments about the backing vocals. If there were 2 good female voices I think this song would have taken off a little more than it did. I really love the song, it can be sad and happy at the same time. Sad because a period in life is ending, but happy because a new one can be beginning.

Man, the weakerthans are one of my favorite bands of all time, but I have to say, this live performance is pretty disappointing. Thank you very much for posting this as I have never had the opportunity to see them live myself, but as njl4515 said, they definitely need a backup vocalist. The harmonies on the choruses are pretty weak and don't blend well at all. Ah well, if they ever come by me I'm still going to see them.
