About the Video
In this video, we will learn about New Rules for Tax on Stocks & Mutual Funds. We’ll talk about Securities Transaction Tax (STT), Dividend Tax and Capital Gains Tax, explaining how they apply to stocks, mutual funds (MFs), and ETFs. We cover short-term capital gains (STCG) and long-term capital gains (LTCG) tax rates, the exemption limits for equity investments, and key differences in taxation of equity vs debt mutual funds and ETFs. We thoroughly break down the differences between short-term capital gains (STCG) and long-term capital gains (LTCG), the respective tax rates, and how you can take advantage of LTCG tax exemptions for equity investments. You'll also learn about capital loss set-off rules, dividend taxation, and the tax implications of intraday trading and futures & options (F&O). We'll explore how the new capital gains tax regime compares with the old one and end the debate by showing how to reduce your capital gains tax burden and maximize tax savings on your investments. By the end of the video, you'll understand how to calculate taxes for both short-term and long-term gains, as well as how to set off short-term and long-term capital losses. 9:06 pr mistake hai sir...Long-term capital loss will only be adjusted towards long-term capital gains. However, a short-term capital loss can be set off against both long-term capital gains and short-term capital gain

Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Could anyone tell me which are all taxes a person needs to pay if his profit exceeds 1 crore under long-term capital gain on equity shares apart from 12.5% of LTGC tax?

Please correct the mistake @9:03 timeline, LTCL can be offset against only LTCG and not STCG however STCL can be offset against both STCG & LTCG.
