I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's Square Enix that's the reason for the silence. No way Nomura isn't hearing and sympathizing with fans. Dude's probably under a strict "gag" order.

This is also why Missing Link is important to release first before a KH4 trailer so players can chill on the wait for the next KH4 trailer the problem is they needed t o rebuild from scratch in Unreal Engine 5

Being told straight up Missing Link is NOT cancelled is good news. I will accept that my suspicion there is wrong, but that means from here on, I simply hope development goes smoothly and that the changes to Square Enix’s reshaping doesn’t slow things down

my theory, the world/walking mechanic didnt go that well on the beta so they are scrapping that entirely and perhaps going to something akin the main titles instead. square made and cancelled the last soldier so fast they could reboot the game mechanics to suit consumers hence why rn there is no news

I'm surprised to see so much criticism coming from the Japanse fans.

I've seen a lot of comments show some concern over the more realistic take with Quadratum. A lot of the comments said they want more Disney and for the series to stay with the Disney/anime feel whereas with the West, most fans want them remove Disney in general and just focus on original content.

It's all just very interesting to see those comments.

I understand that they don't want to reveal more until it's ready but at the same time zero communication on this is not ok. For god sakes even Nomura seems irritated about how long he's had to keep quiet on things. Just some posters or cast announcements would do wonders in making the wait easier to swallow. I can't even make a guess at when they'll reveal anything at all that's how much they suck in giving us info right now. If there's some problem going on than just say it god damn.

Haha, and my dumbass thought missing link was supposed to keep us occupied in the meantime, but it's living up to the title because it ain't fucking here. it would be A LITTLE forgivable if they at least gave us a what's up every now and then, or a cryptic hint about something in the game. I'd be happy with a yozora spin off.

I think there's a good chance Missing Link is going to be scrapped. It's already a year past its original release date, and after many delays the release window has been removed entirely.

People have to understand that building more and more expectations only leads to disappointment cause reality simply can't live up to it at one point. If someone has expectations, it's their own responsibility to keep them in check and keep them realistic, not the devs to absolutely answer to it cause at one point it's just no longer possible no matter how hard they sincerely try to make it worth the wait and the game not matching expectations isn't development time's fault.

I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes for kingdom hearts next game, but we had to remember that the creator of kingdom heart he’s very old in his 60s and he completely overworks not to mention this is the final kingdom heart game he’s working on. I just hope the game will come out before he passed away

I wished they never dropped the trailer until they were atleast halfway in the making. Bruh the fact they used unreal engine 4 just to make the teaser rather than using UE5 I already knew what the deal was.
