Your video helped me the most. Literally went and landed a kick flip 3rd try after watching your video. Thank you

I've seen a lot of kickflip tutorial videos, and I gotta say this might be the most useful one I've seen! It's filled with really practical tips that kinda break down the gradual learning process of attempting a kickflip! Great job, Jason! Your hot feet are not in vain <3

Props on posting such a useful video. I’ve got my kickflips locked but it’s great to see a video where the teacher says “watch other videos” because that’s the key. Everyone’s kickflip is different and you need to see as many as possible to find out what fits/works with you. Good job, Jason.

I’m one of the “front foot in the middle of the board” guys. I flick off exactly where your square is tho.

Great tutorial, Jason. The kickflip at 3:13 was so sick the way you caught it with your back foot. Super rad 🤙

I had “tried” kick flips before, but seriously tried for about 5 days during summer break with like 16 hours in total. Landed 1 in all of that and haven’t landed anymore, brutal.

I’ve seriously watched countless videos on kickflips. I know how to do them but Im a year and some change of picking skating back up after 14 years of no skating. My kickflips are sloppy and feel heavy. Im 6’2, 235 pounds so my springy kickflips i did as a kid are hard to do. I’ve tried so many different tips from pros and other videos but this video really stuck with me. I still struggle with balance and weight distribution but I’m still progressing. Thanks for the video and detailed tips!

This is a good video because most people lead you to believe that it's different from an Ollie, but actually it's the same motion and all except for the foot coming off the nose instead of stopping at the nose!

I appreciate this. Been struggling with my health but skating is gonna be a good motivator for me because we all know how fun it is even all by your lovely self. I could spend all day skating man! I just get so tired so I'm trying to get healthier, cutting out sugar and stuff. For the love man!

Good thing for youtube is you can change the playback speed and watch any videos in slow motion on youtube now it's awesome

Great tutorial! Love your videos! I recently decided to get my kickflips down and made a video on why I suck at them to point out my problem areas that others might be struggling with as well. Like you said, I started making tutorials that I wish I had as a kid. I did the same thing with watching foot placement on VHS and then going out and trying it.

Thanks for the video Jason! Your tutorial is one of the best ones I’ve watched. I know how to kick flip but I still like learning as much about my tricks from other people as I can.

I've been at it for a year and still can't get both feet on the board. All these tips are golden but if I may add what helped me get the board to flip with more control/speed is 1) when I flick I draw a "J" with my foot instead of trying to hit it dead on 2) I try to move my front foot back before kicking forward; kind of like a wind up. It feels weird but when I film myself doing it, it really helps my foot come up before kicking out which helps keep my board under me 3) take breaks. I get frustrated easy and go non stop 20-30 times with like a couple seconds in between each try and get no where. Take my tips or don't but this is just what I've learned on my journey to landing the ever elusive kickflip.

Slow mo at 1:51 helped me understand it much better without even watching the rest lol

oh man, that trick tip was golden.👌 It was motivational (some people forget that part, we all need a little bit of "you can do it". :P), fun, very logical and well explained with good and It was on a tennis curt too, no, ... you don't understand, I absolutely love when someone skates on a tennis curt.:P man, I think I now have a new source that I can link to people when they want to land kickflips. :) ps: let's hope the youtube algorithm thinks the same.:P
