Say Goodbye to the Control Panel and Hello to Windows 12?

Microsoft is removing the Control Panel from Windows, does this mean the next Windows version is coming? maybe Windows 12?

It's 40 years as i am but it's still a lifesaver. The so called ms setting in garbage. There's nothing in control of the PC owner. That's the truth ms doesn't want to talk. But we will find a way to bring it back. They may remove the link to control panel from explorer and that may make many old users angry who like to tweak there PC with peace of mind.
Ms updates are always full of bugs bro. I just stopped updating my 23H2 with help of CTT WinUtil toolbox.

Fine but Settings is a disaster and badly needs a rethink. It is extremely difficult find things. No nice icons to give an indicator and when you do finally find what you are looking for it is often incomplete and you have to then look elswhere.

mabe gatting rid of the bloatwares and all xap useless apps also removing settings app
and working on control panel and other x86 programs making it modern will be alot easier and better for everyone
and we get excited like we did on windows 7

There are some things in Control Panel that are not in the settings app, so they can't just delete it. The Internet Options in Control Panel is part of Internet Explorer in Windows 95

they can not remove it, the article you ve read is from 2015 i guess they said that before longtime . but they can not remove it . microsoft is ignoring windows . and are not creative . look google, u have in phone 1.8 gh processor >and 2 gb ram> and you can run asphalt 8 easily smoothly and most games windows 11 >3.5 gh processor >12 gb ram = games still crashes . and if you go to c you see billions of mini processes . there is a big mess in windows . and windows can not change anything coz, it is related to goverments . so if they obligated to do that, they will make a copy for companies and a copy for normal people .
