Schindler's List is a 1993 American epic historical drama film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg and written by Steven Zaillian. It is based on the 1982 novel Schindler's Ark by Australian novelist Thomas Keneally. The film follows Oskar Schindler, a German industrialist who saved more than a thousand mostly Polish–Jewish refugees from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories during World War II. It stars Liam Neeson as Schindler, Ralph Fiennes as SS officer Amon Göth, and Ben Kingsley as Schindler's Jewish accountant Itzhak Stern.

Did anyone notice how, at first, he accepted death. Only after the first gun didn't work, did he work up the courage to fight for his life. It's like, trying to plead, even with a valid reason, was not worth it. It's only having an unusually long amount of time to ponder your fate, did the prospect of speaking up seem worth a shot.

What’s crazy is this scene actually happened in real life but it was just Goeth and Lewartow there and the gun wouldn’t fire and Goeth got so angry he slapped him then stormed off in a rage leaving him to live much like the film though it was mentioned that they made it a quick point to get him put into Schindler’s factory as they didn’t trust Goeth wouldn’t kill him when he saw him again
